Where'd that come from? "Don't worry about it," Jack said jubilantly. "Ryder's a prick. Total prick. Dunno why Madeleine gives him so much authority, cause he certainly ain't worth it. Skilled Warrior, sure but..." he paused, and grinned sheepishly at her, deciding to share some of his own ambitions, "I'm good too. I think I could do what he does. And because I'm not a prick- at least, I'm usually not- I think Madeleine should trust me with more responsibility."

Will eyed him even more. "I agree, why don't you say that, or I could ask her for you?" Will offered. He'd be a lot better at it than Ryder, at any rate.. and the though continues into more depth than Will would like to share.

"Well," Jack smiled at Will. "Yeah, sure. I'd appreciate that." Though he certainly wouldn't like to be the one telling Madeleine how to do her job. Hopefully, Madeleine would realize it was only a suggestion, rather than an order. He may say to her himself, actually. Just, mention that if she ever needed any extra help... Well, y'know. And he was fairly certain she wouldn't take it in the wrong way. Hoped so. Because... well, Madeleine was small, but hell she could yell.

"Though I'm not on the best of terms with her at the moment I'm sure I could make it sound right," Will said more to herslf than Jack. She didn't really fancy having Madeleine shout at her again. She hadn't scared Will but it wasn't a nice experience. Sure, she had her...more postive moods but when she was in her negative ones...well Will ddin't like it very much. "Anyway, fancy going for a walk?"

"Just around the Gardens?" Jack grinned at the half-pruned bush behind Will. "Ain't you gonna finish up your work?"

Will followed his gaze to the bush behind her. "Later," Will waved her hand at the bush as if to say go away, "I'm tired of healing for now, mind you I will do it if I have too," She gave a lop-sided smile and shrugged.

"Fair enough," Jack chuckled. "Let's go... to that tree five gardens away..."

"Ok," Will started to walk and as she did she took her bobble out of her hair and let her hair fall loose. The wind swept it over her face but she didn't mind. "So, what are you doing for christmas?"

"Going to home to my mansion," winked Jack. "I'll hang out with my brother and such. What about you?"

"Staying here, don't get to see any of my family this year. It's the first too," Will replied. Mum, dad, Merry Christmas!

"I'd love to bring you home," Jack said sadly. "But my family mayn't like it... maybe some other time? Doesn't seem fair you have to spend Christmas in school..."

"Aww, that' so sweet of you but it's ok, I've got Tamika. The only thing I am sad and sometimes crying about is my parents. I wish they were here, the last christmas I had with them was when I was what...five?!" Will looked up at the sky. It was a deepish blue but yet light. "Looks like we might get a white christmas this year," she smiled.

"Hence the snow," Jack laughed at her, looking around them. After all, he'd just slipped and fell in the ice. "Hopefully it'll stay."

"Oh it will if it knows what's good for it!" Will looked up, "Ya hear me? YOU BETTER STAY!" she shouted enthusiastically at the sky. She turned to see Jack smiling at her. "What?" she laughed.

Wow, she's weird. It was kind of funny. "What?" His grin broadened. "Nothing."
