"I have news," Jack said happily, sitting down before Lee and Madeleine and rubbing his hands together excitedly. "Big news. Are you excited?" "I don't know," Lee sighed lazily, his fingers resting lightly on Madeleine's far shoulder. "Does it involve sports?" Jack bowed his head meekly; but the wicked grin didn't leave his face. "Yuh huh." Lee rolled his eyes at Madeleine. "Of course it does." "You're just jealous you can't be Mr. Bigshot," Jack said gruffly, giving him a shove. "You have a hot girlfriend, granted, but what else you got going for you? Chess?" "Hey," Lee said sharply. "Brain power is a good thing." "Yeah, yeah," smirked Jack, and Lee relented and grinned back. "Okay. Fine. I could do with a few muscles or so." Jack laughed triumphantly. "Aye, right you could! Some sports would do you good, Lee..." He half-glanced at his Head, then looked earnestly back at Lee. "Listen, Brian was telling me about those dreams you've been having..." Lee determinedly looked away from Madeleine, his arm sliding from her shoulder at once. "Yeah? What did he say?" "Something about... you writhing around a lot," Jack said softly. "About you waking up a lot. And muttering to yourself. You keep talking about ribbons, and brown." "Yeah, well," Lee shrugged. "Weirdness happens." "If you did some more sort of physical activity, you could tire out easily, and those dreams could easily just go away," Jack pressed eagerly. "Go on, Lee- what d'you think?" Lee was spared answering by the loud arrival of Olivia- also known to Jack as 'the catsuit culprit'. Looking quite distracted by her, Jack stood up beaming. "Hi, Olivia."

Bloody sports. Madeleine often laughed at Jack when he was in full sports flow. As soon as he'd come into the room with that expression, she'd known... "I have news," said Jack excitedly, sitting down in front of her and Lee, rubbing his hands together. "Big news. Are you excited?" Madeleine laughed, as Lee replied, "I don't know. Does it involve sports?" "Yuh huh..." She tuned out of the conversation a little. Jack would know that anything involving sports - except wrestling and bareknuckle fighting (they'd had a great conversation about those one training session) - would bore her. She was quite fond of Jack, really. Out of her Warriors, he was probably one of her favourites - and he was such an asset to their side. Six foot three, brawny and undeniably strong, he was so committed to what they were doing. He'd stayed loyal to her throughout all the Levi crap, which she was more grateful of than he knew. He was a great guy, funny and - Lee's arm slid from her shoulder, and she was startled back to attention. "Yeah? What did he say?" Jack's tone was soft, which worried her. "Something about... you writhing around a lot. About you waking up a lot. And muttering to yourself. You keep talking about ribbons, and brown." Lee shrugged. "Yeah, well, weirdness happens." Madeleine looked at him, alarmed. He'd told her that he'd had a few nightmares, but... writhing? Talking aloud? "If you did some more sort of physical activity, you could tire out easily, and those dreams could easily just go away," said Jack eagerly. "Go on, Lee- what d'you think?" Madeleine frowned. "What's he talking about?" she mouthed towards Lee. Before he could answer either of them, the sound of cheerful humming came from the other end of the room, and was getting louder and louder. Olivia came bouncing into view, humming a tune somewhere between "All You Need Is Love" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". Jack jumped up, beaming at her. "Hi, Olivia." Madeleine hid a smile. "Hey," she smiled back, before glancing at Maddie, and saying in her breathless, serene voice, "Forgiven me yet?" "No," she said instantly. Olivia rolled her eyes, flopping down to beside where Jack had just been sitting. "You'll get there someday. I bet Lee didn't mind, did you?"

Again, Lee was spared the trouble of answering. "What guy would mind?" laughed Jack, looking at Olivia with a trace of awe. And Lee knew why. Jack had never before met a girl who was willing to actually prance around in a catsuit for a laugh. And more than that- he was pretty darn keen on the idea! He told Lee happily that night that the 'catsuit culprit' was truly a marvellous example of the female species, and that he deigned to find out more. A.K.A. he had a thing for her. "I did appreciate it, Olivia, I really did," Lee smiled, glancing at Madeleine.

Madeleine laughed, clipping Lee around the head. "You sod!" "I'd take that as a compliment, Madeleine," Olivia said soothingly. "I wouldn't mind, anyway. I still don't see what you found wrong with the catsuit." Madeleine rolled her eyes. "That's cause you're a ho." Olivia laughed delightedly. "So?! I don't mind if I get stared at - besides, I think a catsuit would totally suit me." She glanced sideways at Jack, a sly smile spreading on her lips. "What do you think, Jack?"

This was probably Jack's idea of heaven. If only they had rugby. "Totally," he agreed, then looked at Lee. "You're a conjurer, you could get her one. Olivia, you could go try it on now and find out. That is-" he paused hopefully- "if you want to." "Want me to get you one too?" Lee asked Maddie kindly, rolling his eyes.

Madeleine rolled her eyes and kindly aimed a curse word in Romani towards him. Olivia blinked. "What the hell was that, Madeleine?" Immediately realising her mistake, Madeleine inwardly slapped herself, but covered it with a smile. "Foreign cuss words are wonderful things." Olivia rolled her eyes and turned to Jack. "I'm a conjurer too, I can totally get one. Be back in a minute!" She jumped up and ran over to the door leading to the girl's dorms. Madeleine shook her head, laughing. "Sometimes I really don't believe her..."

Jack's eyebrows shot up as she hurried off. "Is she really serious?" he asked Madeleine and Lee. Lee bit his lip. "Well..." "Oh, score," Jack laughed. "Wow! I didn't think the day would come. Pinch me, Lee. I think I'm dreaming." Lee chose to kick him instead. It didn't even seem to faze him. "Maddie, kick him," Lee ordered.

"Gladly," Madeleine replied sweetly, aiming a sharp kick at Jack's shin. "I hope that hurt - that's my friend you're having sordid fantasies about. I'm don't think I've ever been so glad I'm not a telepath." There was a pause, then Madeleine heard Olivia's quick footsteps coming down the hall. That was quick. She really must be keen. Olivia loved to flirt, Madeleine knew that. But going and putting on a catsuit for a guy was another matter... She must really be into Jack. She nudged Lee. "And you can keep your eyes at the other end of the room, please."

Lee was quite surprised. "Maddie, c'mon, be fair!" Jack snorted and that- then stopped, his eyebrows climbing higher as the quick footsteps slowed behind them, announcing Olivia's arrival into the Common Room. Lee himself couldn't quite believe this was happening- the Common Room was a pretty public place, for chrissake! Every single guy in the room had gone completely silent; their expressions a mirror of Jack's, and every single girl was muttering darkly to her neighbour. Olivia must be loving this. "Can I look now?" Lee asked Madeleine, his eyes determinedly on the opposite wall.

Madeleine chuckled, and leaned towards him. "Nope," she breathed in his ear. "Besides, aren't you supposed to be telling me that you never see any other girl when I'm in the room?" The door from the girl's corridor flew open, and Olivia made her entrance. Madeleine was suddenly extremely glad that she'd had the foresight to ask Lee to look away. The catsuit was... well, Madeleine felt sorry for every girl whose boyfriend was in this room. It really did suit Olivia, and Madeleine doubted that any guy in the room would be able to take his eyes off her for the next while. And she'd just taken a major hit on the self esteem of every girl in the room. Madeleine glanced at Jack, suddenly amused by his expression.

Jack sat numbly on the floor, his eyes growing wider and wider as Olivia approached him. Lee squeezed his eyes shut now, cursing himself for his loyalty to his girlfriend. As endearing as it surely was to her it was driving him insane. "You look... good, Olivia," Jack said, speaking to somewhere over Lee's shoulder. "Very good. Better even than Madeleine, I'd say. And almost as good as I'd look." Oh, he hadn't...

Olivia laughed in delight, striking a pose and tossing her red hair over her shoulder. "Thanks - want me to conjure you up one?" Oh, no way... "No," Madeleine said quickly, chuckling at her friend's sheer nerve. "Let's not. I'm not sure we need to see that..." Olivia pouted, before her eyes travelled to Lee, who had his squeezed shut. It must be driving him mad, Madeleine reflected, but she felt a rush of affection for him. "Aren't you going to let Lee look, Madeleine?" Madeleine flashed her a look, but stopped at the teasing expression on her face. She was only joking. "Fine," she said, rolling her eyes. "You can open your eyes if you like."

"Mmm..." he mumbled, then instead chose to turn to Madeleine and bury his face in her shoulder. Jack laughed at him. "Wow, Lee, that's some willpower. Another reason you could be a good sportsman. You know, Brian also said something about-" "Not now, Jack," Lee mumbled against Madeleine. "Really not now. This is hard enough without you going on and on at me." Jack paused, and there was a brief moment of silence in which Lee regretted being so sharp with his friend. Jack however, seemed to recover himself quite quickly. "That gonna become something permanent?" Jack asked Olivia, and Lee could just picture Jack's appraising sweep of her body.

Madeleine kissed the top of Lee's head before resting her head on his. "I'm impressed," she muttered, smiling. Olivia grinned at Jack, her green eyes smouldering at him. "I definitely like it, but maybe not all the time... it doesn't seem to be very popular, does it? And I don't think poor Lee would ever be able to look at me again. You're such a dictator, Madeleine." Madeleine laughed. "I don't think that's the right word." Olivia grinned wickedly and mouthed the word "dominatrix" at her. Madeleine's leg shot out towards her, but Olivia's lithe body jumped and dodged it. "So what do you think of her, Jack?" Madeleine asked, determined to stir it a little.

"I think you're insane," Jack told Olivia happily. "But wow- I am not complaining!" Lee chuckled to himself. "How does she look, Jack?" "I'm not telling you," Jack told him cheerfully. "If you don't look, I guess you'll never know!" "That's not fair!" argued Lee, but he still didn't move. Instead, he wrapped his arms around Madeleine and wouldn't move- though he realised he was probably crushing her slightly. Jack was laughing at him again. Ugh.
