He laughed. "People can be so annoying. But they're people. A real selfish lot." It was true. He eyed Jessica thoughtfully. He was sort of tempted to follow her around and be... annoying. Give her a taste of her own medicine...

"And you know what she said when she first met me? Like, this was before the school knew that I was the new head of the Academics, but she said to me, that she was meant to be head, but got bumped for some loser! I had to hold myself from slapping her. But can you believe that?" Macy said, in more of a high-pitched hiss than her actual voice. Her mother was an excellent gossiper, and had passed these skills onto her daughter. Macy usually tried to hold it back, but sometimes it was like a beast waking up, and she couldn't control it. "And what she's going on about my sister, it isn't true. Like, it's really complacated, and I don't really want to talk about it, but how can she go round, spreading these stupid ideas? Just, don't listen to her." She said, staring at the table, with her eyes narrowed. "Just don't listen to a word she says."

Jude nodded fiercely, surprised and slightly agrieved by this sudden burst of passion from Macy. He was really annoyed by Jessica now; but he supposed this just came naturally to Jessica. "She really had a lot of nerve to say that, didn't she?" he frowned. "Pretty arrogant too... to think that she should be Head of the Academics." Levi Ryder and her would get on just dandy...

"Well, her father and grandmother and great-aunt were all heads, and she kindly told me, one time. Well, I can just a little shock to the system." Macy laughed. "But, anyway, who needs her. She tries so desperatly to be popular, I think she needs a reality check." Why was Macy beginning to get so mean? It was almost like Natalia was controlling her words...no, it couldn't be. Macy just really didn't like Jessica. "Ah, I think it looks good, now, actually." she said, looking over the room. "I looks, halloweeny...I think..." she said, biting her lip slightly. "Seriously, if they hate this party, I don't know what I'll do."

Jude looked up at that, watching Macy carefully. Her worried expression worried him. What did she mean by that? It was just a party... so why did she say that...? "What do you mean you don't know what you'll do?" he asked her kindly.

"I don't know, like, I'll be disappointed, I don't know what the other people in the school will think it will be like. It's the Academics trying to put on a party. I know that they can pull it off, but the other groups just think that the Academics are just geeks. I'm sorry, it's just I know I shouldn't care about what everybody else thinks, but I'm the head. I have to worry about the entire group, I don't want to let them down. Augh, it's so silly." She picked up a marshmallow and sat down on one of the chairs by the side. "The room's looking great, guys, it's going to be really good tonight!" She shouted across the room to the other Academics. Some of them smiled, and most people were sitting down now, as the room seemed to be fully decorated.

"Stereotypes are just stupid," Jude reassured her, and took a sweeping look of the room too. "And it does look good. Really, it does." He meant that too.

"Yeah, I think it looks good too." She stood up and clapped her hands together. "Right, it looks really good, you're allowed to leave now." she said, and one or two people got up. "Thank you, everybody for coming down and helping. It wouldn't look as good as it could have been with out your help!" She went back over to where she was sitting, and picked up some things. "Thanks, Jude, for helping. I have to go, and meet Steve, sorry. I'll see you later!" she waved, and walked out of the room, her stomach filled with anticipation about the party.
