Olivia smiled, glancing about for Nurse Gornray and chancing a quick peck on Jack's cheek. "Roses sound perfect, but you don't have to do that, really. Go on, I'll join you when I get off my shift." She stopped suddenly, worrying her lip. "I should call Madeleine, shouldn't I? She's his Head, she'll want to come back... I don't know, is that a good idea?"

"Yeah," Jack nodded. "And... Macy, maybe?" Jude added, glancing back at them both. "I mean... I'd say he's closer to her than anyone else at Orchid. She should know." "Does anyone have her number?" Jude shrugged. "Roses, anyway," Jack said, turning back to Olivia with a grin. "There's a florist's stall down at the market in Cardsdale- I'll pick you something pretty, okay?" "Not many of us are going on the search, yet," Jude said, "It's pretty decent of y'all to say you'll come. We'll be down at the SCR. The search starts at 2. When does your shift end?"

"About one forty-five, so I'll go and wash all this... em..." disgusting, dirty... "muck and... blood off before I join you," Olivia said, wincing as she glanced down at the scarlet stains on her low-cut black jumper and jeans. "You know, they should really give us scrubs, or something... But yeah, I should make it down for two, but if not, I'll tag along with another group, okay?"

"Okay," Jack beamed, opening his arms once more and embracing Olivia; knotting his hands in her long, red hair and kissing her softly. Jude turned away with a roll of his eyes; and Jack and Olivia had five blissful minutes until- Wham! Jack leaped back with a cry of pain, and Nurse Gornray jumped back too, a rolled up magazine held high and her eyes flashing. "I will hit you again, Mr Trove, if you don't get out NOW!" Jack didn't need any further motivation. He and Jude were chased the whole way out of the Hospital Wing and halfway down the hall, Nurse Gornray yelling, and cheered on by a bunch of passing first-years, who apparently took great delight in Jack and Jude's near-death experience.
