Toreth limped sadly through the door to the hospital, his right hand pressed firmly over his eyes, his left dangling limply at his waist. He was covered in blood - the sticky substance coating him couldn't be anything else - his clothes were ripped and filthy, he was limping, he couldn't see... This was the worst possible situation he could have imagined for so soon after his arrival.
Even with his hand pressed hard against his lids, it seemed bright - not unbearable, but what it was like at home when he closed his eyes against the sun. It was still... not painful, but there was a strange tingling. This couldn't be good. He'd have to leave soon if these people couldn't do something about his eyes, or risk being blinded for the rest of his life. The very thought terrified him, chilled him to the bone.
He heard the dull thud of the door closing behind him. He could hear other people in the room, but didn't know what to do, what the protocol was. There seemed little he could do, other than ask for help.
"Excuse me?" he called out into the room. His English still sounded stilted, disjointed, but that hardly seemed important now. "Could somebody help me, please?"

As soon as she heard that, Will whipped around to see Misa and another person with her, covered in blood, limping and had his had over his eye. "Bring him over here," Will replied as she made room. Thr hospital was quite busy today. Everyone seemed to be hurting themselved one way or another. Hey, one boy tried to shipshape but he ended up with a pig nose, bat ears and a lemurs tail. It was quite amusing actually. "What happened?" Will asked him as she tened to his cuts and washing the blood of him. Her touch was soft and warm.

He didn't want to tell her. It was embarrassing enough. But he'd never make a decent start here if he didn't tell the truth.
"I... I fell. When I arrived - I flew here, you see. I think I may have" - what was the word? "- dislocated my shoulder," he said quietly, keeping his hand pressed over his eyes. The tingling was growing stronger now.
"But that is... that is not what concerns me." He had to tell her. "I have a more... pressing problem.
"I come from somewhere very far away - it's called Ancyna. It's very... remote, you probably don't... know of it. M-my race is called 'Ancynan' - that's why my skin is so pale, and my eyes... I think... I think there is something wrong with my eyes, here. They can't cope with the light."
(OOC - just to let you know where I'm going with this, I was thinking he should end up with sunglasses. Very, very powerful ones.)

"Hmm," Will thought to herself. How could she counter that. She clicked her fingers, "I got it, put a pillow over your eyes for now while I un-duslocate you shoulder and fix the bleeding," Will got him to bite down on a rubber shaped thing in the shape of a horseshoe. She pulled forward and shoved his shoulder up and in. Click.. "There, now to stop the bleeding," her hand hovered over his shoulder and the cut faded into nothingness. "Right, now to fix your eyes with something," Will was at a loss in that one. "Need help?" a voice sounded behind her. "Olivia! Just the person I need," Will's eyes lighted up, "Would you be able to conjure up a really good pair of super protective and powerful sunglasses that can withstand any light, like keep you in constant darkness all the time only you can still see out of them properly?" Olivia gave her a weird look, then it softened, "Sure, yeah, I think I can," A pair materilized in her hand and she gave them to Will. "Thanks so much Olivia," "No probs!" "Right, Toreth I'm removing the pillow now so be prepared," Will took the pillow of and put the glasses over his eyes instantly. "Hows that?"

Well, this was humiliating. Lying there with a cushion over his face, his teeth clamped down on something - he had no idea what it was, but it certainly tasted remarkably strange - while this woman he had never met before healed him of an injury that was caused only by his own stupidity... If he had been completely cognizant, it would have been - most definitely - one of the worst experiences of his life. Luckily for him, the tingling that was spreading up across his forehead and down to the top of his cheekbones combined with the blessed darkness that the pillow provided had made him more than a little unaware of what was happening. He knew that the girl was saying things, but for the life of him he couldn't work out what. It was hard enough when he was paying attention.
But then one thing caught his attention. "Right, Toreth, I'm removing the pillow now so be prepared." He tried to struggle against her, to stop her from taking away the darkness, the relief... He was so weak, however, that he doubted she would even notice.
And yet - the pain - it didn't come. She placed something over his eyes... spectacles, he realised, but not any like he'd ever seen before. Whatever they were... they were incredible. He could see. Perfectly, as if he were in Ancyna. In fact, better than if he was in Ancyna.
He could see in perfect detail, he realised - every minute wrinkle in the beds across the room, every scratch on the door opposite him was as clear as if he were examining it under a microscope.
He caught a glimpse of his reflection in a shiny surface - he had no idea what it was - a couple of metres away from him. He was a mess, to be sure, but that's not why he started. These spectacles... well, he was thankful for them, but they looked... ridiculous. He raised a shaking hand to touch the frames. "My goodness..." he muttered in his own language.
Then, of course, he realised how very rude he was being. He turned back to the girl, and smiled at her widely. Her hair was astounding, he realised, that exact shade of red, same as Calia. He'd only seen it once before in his entire life.
"That is... that is quite amazing, madam," he said, a little breathlessly, his voice the epitome of thankfulness. "Really, I can't thank you enough. I owe you a great... great debt.
"May I... Could you tell me what your name is?" This woman has saved my life, after all, he thought, giving into his tendency for over-dramaticism, I should at least know what she is called.

"Ok, one thing you should know about, I don't like being called madam or ma'am unless it's a punishment, and secondly my name is Will Wright, but call me Will," she smiled. "And secondly, I think you should thank Olivia, after all, she's the on ewho actually conjured the glasses, my idea, her doing," Will explained. "And may I be so bold in asking what your name is?"

He smiled back at her. "I am sorry, then, for calling you Madam. I think that the English I learnt... it is a little antiquated. I'm not really very... sure about the... specifics. My name is the Aer- I mean, Toreth Delert. I am a new student here, if that's not... painstakingly obvious already." He blushed a little.
Then he decided to get off the bed. He was thankful to these women, there was no doubt about that, but there was also no reason for him to remain lying down in front of them. He turned to Olivia, and bowed to her. "I am thankful to you too, Olivia" - it seemed strange to call a woman by her first name when they were such new acquaintances, but if that was what was accepted here... "But I think I must... I must ask for one more thing. My... friend is coming here soon, and I think she... shall have the same problem as I. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you possibly make one more pair of these for her?"

"It's ok Olivia, I'll figure something out," Will told her. "When will your friend be arriving?" Will asked she she turned her back to him and busied herself with some supplies that had been left out.

"Umm... Soon, I should think. I'm not exactly sure. She's coming by boat and I think that... is a little unreliable. Within the next... next two weeks or so," he replied. Of course, his shaky grasp of the language did cause the four simple sentences to take rather longer than necessary to come out.

Will turned and face him with a smile on her face. "You're really good at english, as you can probably tell by my accent I'm not english either, I'm German," she winked.

"German?" Funnily enough, Germany was one of the few countries he remembered learning about in the Geography lessons that he had been subjected to before he left. "Oh, yes... I've never... been there, but then again this is the first time leaving... Ancyna at all. I have heard of it, though. "You speak English very... well too, then," he replied, smiling. "It's never... easy, learning another language, is it?"

Was it easy or not? "Thank you, but I found it quite easy, only because my mum started teaching it to me as soon as I could talk...like German. If you want, I could help you?" Will offered as she smiled. She tossed her head back so that all of her locks of copper hair was behind her and sat waiting for an answer/.

"You would... help me?" Toreth asked, not sure he'd heard correctly. If she was in earnest, then... maybe he'd made a friend here. He didn't think it would be so easy, and he really didn't think it would happen so fast, but-
Well, things were evidently different here. Maybe to offer help - perhaps that was the accepted thing to do. Nonetheless, the sobering thoughts he was trying to think did nothing to stem the wave of gratitude that swept over him as he realised that she had said what he thought she had.
He smiled widely. "That's very, very kind of you," he said, the gratitude that engulfed him coming out in his voice that rose significantly in pitch. His voice always got higher when he was happy. "I'd love that!"

Will laughed at Toreth's enthusiasm. "Want to me to show you around the castle?" Will asked extending her hand in order to help him up and also to shake and greet him properly.

Toreth laughed, too. He knew how over-the-top he must be appearing, but he didn't care. He was just so... relieved.
"That would be... fantastic!" he said, struggling to find the adequate word in English. "The building... it's so big, it feels a little daunting." He shook her hand (a greeting that he had been taught in his lessons before he arrived) and then used it to help get himself up. His arm had been healed now, it was true, but his legs were still stiff from the long journey to get here.
"Where... should we go first?" he asked eagerly.
