Madeleine studied Macy for a minute, watching her twirl her curls around her fingers anxiously. "You're not," she said softly. "You're not, Macy." But Macy's words reminded her of something. Madeleine glanced up, over to the forest. "Where... where exactly are we?" "You should talk to him about ... what you are together. I know that it's kind of difficult and ... godawfully embarrassing, but... it works. And I guess anything is better than not knowing, right?" Easy for her to say, she guessed people would think, but she remembered all too well the nerves she hadn't before she'd asked Lee the 'where-are-we' question. Even now it took barely a... She shuddered slightly, before looking back at Macy. "If you don't mind me asking - I mean, it's really nosy, you can ignore me if you like, but ... do you know where you'd like to be with Steve?"

"Oh, I don't know.." Macy said while crouching on the ground. "I really don't have a clue, why is it so confusing?!" She said, closing her eyes. "Like, I really do like him, he makes me feel, I don't know, free, together, like I can forget everything. He just dosen't care about anything, he dosen't worry about anything, it's so weird." She leaned over a little, so she could reach the edge of the water. She dipped her fingers into it, letting ice spread across it, freezing it, so it lived up to its name. "This is the strangest lake I've ever seen, I'll tell you that." She said quietly, almost as a little side note to their conversation. "But, no, I really don't know where I want to be with him. I think - I think that I've afraid of losing him. I'm afraid that if we do start to offically go out," She gagged slightly on the word, "That we'll break up, and won't be friends. But anyway, I don't think he'd be able to cope with lables like boy-friend, or anything like that." She said, laughing. She tried to picture him looking like everyone else, in a normal job, in normal clothes, with neat, light brown hair, but couldn't imagine him without a look of sheer panic on his face. "I don't know, maybe I should talk to him, I have been thinking about it recently, but I've got no guts. Oh, but I don't want to lose him, Madeleine. Since I was kidnapped, I was totally not myself, I was just, like, a ghost, or something, but when I met him, he just made it go away. Oh, just don't tell anyone about this, okay?" She said, looking up at Madeleine, have to make sure for herself that she could trust her.
