"I have metal bending," Ailith tore off the nib of her pen to demonstrate and stuck it on again. "And a form of invisibility, but it's kind of technical."

"Ok, how can invisibility be technical?" Abby stared at her in complete confusion. Isn't invisibility just invisibility? Apparantly not.

Ailith sighed and wrinkled her nose trying to find the least complicated way to describe her power, "It's more ... the ability not to be noticed, and if you watch me when I do it your eyes kind of go lazy. That's what I've been told it's like anyway." Ailith looked at Abby's face, "Does that make sense?"

"I've got infra-red lenses under my eyelids," Scott winked with one black lens so that it looked like he had lost his eye, "And I've got really hard thick skin," He lowered his voice "That one's a bit crap if you ask me but however, and I have air." "Scott!" "Sorry, Sir" "Why do you bother apologizing? You only repeat the offence." "Sorry Sir." The Professor sighed and continued to preach light. "Don't you love the way he only tells you off Scott?" Ailith spoke softly to her book but knowing both Scott and Abby would hear. "It's bloody brilliant." Was Scott's sacrcastic reply.

Abby nearly rolled. Her eyes watered. "God, that was funny," she looked at them both and stopped and sort of shyed away. "Sorry, I laugh at the littlest of things...." She turned the page in one of her mums books and read on a little more. The door opened and a avaraged height girl with long copper locks came into the room. She walked over to the Prof' and asked somethign and then started to walk over their way, stopping behind Ailith. "Hey Ailith, Professor Hinbury wants to see you at lunch time down in the ICT room. Don't be late!" she told her in a low voice and then glanced at Scott and herself then walked over to the door and out again. "Who was that?" Abby asked as soon as it shut.

"Anna. She's in my ICT class, we're putting together a computer right from scratch. Metal ore and everything. It's very exciting but the metal's really impure so it's harder for me to extract it." The Professor turned and yelled, "SCOTT!" Before Scott could engage the part of his brain that made him polite he shouted back, "WHAT?!" "Actually sir, that was me. Scott hadn't spoken a word." The enraged teacher clenched his jaw, "I should kick him out anyway for that moment of insolence." "Perhaps if you gave Scott another chance he will disturb you no longer?" Ailith suggested extremely politely but firmly. "Hmmm... right so anyway the light from the ..." Ailith sighed and uttered a few words that she thought aptly described the Professor sometimes. "Thanks pal." Scott whispered very very quietly.

"Actually sir. this is for me and my own time not-" "Silence!" "Yes sire," Abby's eyes widened and some of the room started to laugh, "I mean, sir. Yes, sir!"

Ailith glanced at the novel Abby was reading. "One of your mum's?" Ailith enquired softly.

Abby was relieved as Ailith asked her a question. "Yeah, they're brill and I'm not just saying that cause she's my mom, they really are. Here read the first page, it might make you want to read more then again, it might not depends what you're interested in," Abby said as she remembered her page number and handed it to Ailith to read.
