Madeleine smiled easily at Will.
So she was the only one that didn't have an animal of some description with her. She didn't mind, things were always easier without someone else to protect. She flew solo.
"So do you guys know anyone here?" she asked.

"Hmm," Madeleine said. She hadn't made any friends or accquaintances in Orchid Hill yet - she wasn't the greatest ice-breaker.

Macy looked up, breaking her concentration off Gypsy.
"Oh, em..not yet. I think there may be another person in our dorm, but they haven't come yet..."
She looked out the window and gazed over the forest. "Maybe we should go and try to meet some people, people who might be in the same classes as us. I think there's a common room i passed down the hall, we should check it out sometime. But apart from that, I haven't met anybody...I wonder if they're nice here..." she said, thoughtfully....

"I hope so," Madeleine said fervently, lying back on her bed and staring up at the ceiling.
She wondered who else was in Dorm 16 with them. Hopefully, they would all "click" quite well.
But she was intending to go and meet as many people as she could, to see if any of them were like-minded to her.
And okay, maybe she was being shallow, but she had seen several quite good-looking guys in the hallways...
