It was 3 or 4 days after the battle. Will had been taking it hard. Tamika thought it was time she got Will out from under her duvet and out in the fresh air, so the past hour the two of them had been walking around the school gardens. Tamika thought a lot while she was walking, she thought about Pavel. About how for some reason she wasn't really upset anymore. Her hand automatically reached up to hold the necklace he had given her - she'd finally decided to wear it. Will had been awful quiet during the walk, occasionally letting out a quiet sound as she cried. A few times Tamika had stopped to pull her friend in to a hug, anything to comfort her.
Now they were on their way back inside. Tamika was softly humming some Russian folk song her dad played a lot when she was younger. "I must call him sometime..." She thought. As they reached the steps up to the main door Tamika spotted a girl she presumed new. Although Tamika herself was not here long, she had sat in random places observing the other students in her free time, and she knew she hadn't seen the girl before.
"Excuse me," Tamika asked, "Are you lost?"
